Wooo my feet hurt! I've been hiking faster than I usually do so I can pick up my dog and I'm feeling worn out. I have another 27 miles to Loft mtn. where I'm picking him up and I'm going to be resting there for a day before I move on. I'm only 140 miles from MD!

     I passed the 700 mile mark yesterday and that means I'm just 300 miles from MD. I would like to get there around the 28th but I might be a bit later than that since I'm picking up my dog in the Shenandoah's and will have to slow down for him.

     I'm in Pearisburg VA now. It's a nice little town with a DQ and a Pizza Hut . It's getting harder to think of things to write in journal entries. I've hardly even been keeping up with my personal journal for the last couple weeks...Hmmm...My body is starting to wear down. My joints ache and I'm down to 4% body fat so I have no extra energy to burn if I run out of food energy. It's quit an experience. Ok those last few sentances sounded a little depressing. To be honest I'm probably in better shape now than I've ever been before but I think by the time I'm done I will have aged my joints quit a bit. It's all worth it.

     It's wierd to think about how long I've been out here and how close I'm getting to home. I've been out for two months now and I'm just a couple weeks from MD. I really can't imagine what it will be like to go home to visit and it's even harder to imagine what it will be like to go home for good.
